Where things stand today
Our articles are not currently reviewed by a medical professional. They are written by our editorial team from published guidance (see our editorial standards), with sources listed at the end of each article. They are general educational information and not a substitute for medical advice.
What we will never do
- We will not show a “medically reviewed” badge, name or credentials unless a real, qualified professional has reviewed that specific article.
- We will not invent a reviewer, credentials or a review date.
- We will not imply endorsement by any hospital, clinic, charity or health body that has not given it.
If we add medical reviewers
If a qualified clinician or registered dietitian reviews an article, the article will show:
- “Medically reviewed by” with their name
- Their credentials, for example their professional title
- A link to a professional profile where their credentials can be checked
- The date of the review
Review does not make an article personal medical advice. Reviewers help check that general information is accurate and responsibly worded.
